JRC (Japan Radio Company) attended an Artemis system training course in the UK late last month. Held in the UK, the course took place across 2 days and consisted of classroom teachings and practical hands-on training.

With the Artemis system installed on shuttle tankers and FPSOs in Brazil, JRC, a service partner for Guidance Marine believed that the course addressed a need to become accustomed with a system commonly used in their region.

Course content overview:
  • Artemis basic principles
  • Powering up and activating the system
  • Artemis Dashboard operator modes
  • Artemis manager and service interface
  • Demonstration of operator panel and service interface
  • Installation principles
  • Strip down and sensor rebuild
  • Commissioning requirements
As well as the Artemis system, an advantage of a UK based course was that a day was also spent looking at new products; Absolute Signature, RadaScan View and RangeGuard
