Guidance Navifation Limited manufactures the LS range of laser scanners and electronics modules for use in the navigation and control of Autonomous Guided Vehicles or "AGVs" (sometimes also referred to as "Automatic" or "Automated" Guided Vehicles).
This wire-free technology uses eye safe infra-red optics and low cost pre-positioned reflectors to give the optimum navigation of AGVs in busy manufacturing and logistics environments both indoors and out.
Laser guidance has the advantage of operational flexibility over earlier wire following systems. Routes and task points can be re-positioned using software. No need to rip up and replace wiring, simply define the new work plan on screen, transmit to the vehicle and the system is ready to go.
